On Thursday men came to measure for plantation shutters and carpet.
On Friday we collect carpet samples, but as none really look right, we head out to Western Distributors at Sunshine as they have a vast warehouse with a huge range. We think a mid-grey second quality wool looks good on the floor there, but when we get it home Peter decides he doesn't like the ribbed texture, so we head back on Saturday and choose a plain grey twist.
The builder is back from his fishing trip and promises us air-conditioning on Monday, rubbish removal Monday or Tuesday, plumber Wednesday, electrician Tuesday the following week. We have booked the carpet layer for the Friday of that week. It's getting closer, but still two weeks at least to go.
